Sometimes when I am writing, I start off with song lyrics that inspire me, and that gets me going. Other times, the characters and story are already in place, and a song will just jump out at me and fit the story. This is the story with Mellie and Travis who are thrown together at the same Santa Cruz hotel in Santa's Surf School -- and sparks fly!
